Parents Opposed to Pot announces that two advisors from California have joined our advisory board made up of medical and scientific professionals.

Dr. Roneet Lev is the chief of the emergency department at Scripps Mercy Hospital in San Diego. She is current president of IEPC, Independent Emergency Physicians Consortium, which represents over 30 emergency departments in California. She served as President of the California Chapter of the American College of Emergency Physicians. Man on pot edibles disrupts flight to Beijing

The turbo-charged, high-THC marijuana of today brings out lots of marijuana mania. Jimmy Kimmel’s pot jokes at the Oscars fell flat, but Kimmel could try using these stories on his nightly comedy show. Or maybe they aren’t so funny, just a reflection of how marijuana does a number on the human brain.

Joseph Hudek had purchased marijuana edibles in Seattle and then went was on a flight from Seattle to Beijin. He tried to open a door. When an attendant and passenger were helping to subdue him, he punched them. In an affidavit, he said that he ingested the drugs in Seattle before getting on the plane. Perhaps Hudek expected Seattle pot to mellow him and put him to sleep during the overseas trip. A woman pulled similar stunt this week in flight from San Francisco to Boise. Had she been in California pot dispensary before getting on the plane?
