Vaped marijuana can go undetected by parents and teachers, because vaporizers take the form of other objects like highlighters and asthma inhalers.

As of October, 2019, both vaping deaths in Oregon were tied to marijuana purchased in state-regulated dispensaries.  In  addiction, two deaths were associated with products bought in medical marijuana dispensaries in Michigan and in Delaware.

In December, Massachusetts announced that at least 6 people became ill from vaping products bought at state licensed dispensaries.
